![]() Anywho, thanks for your time.you should be able to determine this from logging, log the max wastegate duty and current wastegate duty along with turbo dynamics and actual/requested boost you'll see if your overshooting target due to too much available duty or just the turbo dynamics don't match up anymore. Its acting like a soft overboost protection and every thread I've found so far covering a related issue seems to have it be slightly different circumstances than mine, that resulted in obvious BCS failure or some other major issue like a boost leak. I literally bought the car three weeks ago and it already had a tune and I'm waiting on my Openport 2.0 to come in and need to check on a few things and possibly tweak one or two settings, having BCS flux issues and I need to determine if the BCS is crapping out or if its a poorly done tune that is causing the commanded WGD to fluctuate so much. Is there any chance you still have a copy of this? I have a 2002 WRX with a V2 Cobb AP, which wont even read in the current AP Manager since Cobb dropped V2 support, and Cobb told me to get f*d when it came to any support even with me starting out saying "I'm more than happy to pay for repairs to my device if its the device or pay for a software package to support this". ![]() so you don't need a PC for a protune. There any chance you still have a copy of this? If you get a Protune, they will just load it onto your AP for you. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken. I believe any of the open source software is PC only as well. Good luck if you choose to attempt this, and either way, post whether you were successful or not. ![]() You would need to make sure you have the AP 2.0 as it has a USB cable. If your Mac is the Intel based version, I know you could load it with Windows and possibly run it then but I personally have never done this. Unfortunately, the Cobb AP only connects with a PC. The Accessport is the worlds best selling, most flexible, and easiest to use ECU upgrade solution for your Subaru. It gives me about 80 more miles to a tank of gas. I use the fuel economy map when I know I will not be racing for a while. Also has some other maps that you might find useful. It comes with Stage 1 maps for 91 and 93 octane fuel, Stage 2 maps for 91 and 93 as well. The AP comes preloaded with maps on it, plus you can go to COBB's web site and DL other maps. the StreetTuner software allows for you to customize your engine settings. But you do not need the StreetTuner software to run an AP. Around $205 total a seperate cost from your AP purchase.
